Have you ever wondered if anyone is running in events featured in our Puttering Around PA article? Well, you are in luck! We have the answer to that question and are willing to share it!! Below you will see highlights of what our members are doing around the state and around the country.
June 14 – 18, 2017, 2017 Brickyard Vintage Invitational, Indianapolis Motor Speedway (2.430 mile track), Indianapolis IN
Kristen Poole and her father (Russell Poole) participated in this multi-day Sprint and Endurance race. They ran a 1970 Porsche 914/6 which placed them in 8CP class. Of the 3 races Kristen participated in, she came in 2nd in both Sprint Race #1 and #2. The Endurance Race is where Kristen and her co-driver dad really shined, taking 1st place in class for the 60-minute race.
June 16 & 17, 2017, NEPA Finals Events 4 & 6, Pocono Infield East Course, Longpond PA
- Ryan Shumberger ran a 1999 Mazda Miata in ES class. He took 1st in a field of 6 and won a trophy.
- Jason Burns ran a 2010 Chevy Corvette GS in SSR class. He took 1st in a field of 4 and won a trophy.
- Derrick Min ran a 2013 Subaru BRZ in STX class. He took 1st in a field of 4 and won a trophy.
- Jason Keener ran a 2003 Nissan 350z in CS class. He took 1st in a field of 2 and won a trophy.
- Chad Kettler ran a 2015 Ford Fiesta ST in HS class. He took 1st in a field of 2 and won a trophy.
- Derek Latshaw ran a 2006 Ford Mustang GT in CP class. He took 1st in a field of 2 and won a trophy.
- Daryl Stoner ran a 2006 Lotus Elise in SSP class. He took 1st in a field of 2 and won a trophy.
- Justin Peachey ran a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette in CAMS class. He took 1st in a field of 2 and won a trophy.
- Rob Springer ran a 2001 Toyota MR2 in ES class. He took 2nd in a field of 6 and won a trophy.
- Eric Peachey ran a 2015 Toyota Scion FRS in SM class. He took 2nd in a field of 7 and won a trophy.
- Heather Burns ran a 2010 Chevy Corvette GS in SSR class. She took 2nd in a field of 4 and won a trophy.
- Dennis Latshaw ran a 2006 Ford Mustang GT in CP class coming in position 2 of 2.
- Geoff Wolpert ran a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 in CAMS class coming in position 2 of 2.
- Lisa Leathery ran a 2013 Ford Boss 302 Mustang in FS class coming in position 4 of 5.
- Derek Colton ran a 1997 Mazda Putt Putt Miata in STS class coming in position 5 of 9.
- Richard Rothman ran a 2004 Mazda Miata in ES class coming in position 6 of 6.
- Jeremy Condon ran a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 in AS class coming in position 6 of 8.
- David Walter ran a 2008 Honda S2000 in STR class coming in position 8 of 14.
- Kevin MacDonald ran a 2010 Mazda Mx-5 in STR class coming in position 12 of 14.
June 22 – 25, 2017, 2017 SVRA Vintage Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (2.400 mile track), Lexington OH

- Shawn Mellinger ran a 20014 Mazdaspeed Miata in BSP class. He took 1st in a field of 8. Shawn also set the new BSP record of 83.503
- Jason Fraley ran a 2006 Audi A3 in DSP class. He took 1st in a field of 4. Jason also set the new DSP record of 87.786.
- Ursula Whisler ran a 1998 Dodge Neon in FSP class. She took 1st in a field of 4.
- James Guerin ran a 2004 Honda S2000 in SSM class. He took 1st in a field of 3.
- Joseph Whiteley ran a 1964 Austin Healey Sprite in HP class. He took 1st in a field of 3.
- Jon Eikenberg ran a 1994 Cheetah SR1 in S1 class coming in position 1 of 1.
- David Hagan ran a 1973 Lola T340 in CF class coming in position 1 of 1.
- Anthony Preston ran a 1973 Lola T340 in FF class coming in position 1 of 1.
