January 2024 Membership Meeting
SCCA – Susquehanna Region
- Meeting called to order on January 25, 2023 at 7:10pm
- Minutes from the November meeting were approved as posted
- RE Report:
- SCCA approved our Sanction
- Casalingo Foods no longer interested in being title sponsor
- Treasurer’s Report: Alan Lesher
- Autocross, Rallycross, membership & sponsorship income, distribution, and YTD figures were reviewed.
- Membership report: Greg Szczyrbak via Melissa Mauro
- 9 new members since last meeting
- Total membership is 466 total members
- Communication Report – Website and Squeal: Jake Limm
- Non-flagship sponsors. They do not renew on an annual basis, so some of these types of sponsors will remain on the website for several months.
- Title Sponsor of Castlingo will be taken down when new title sponsor is announced.
- Website is slow, migration is still planned in the future
- December sequel had over 50% open rate, which is the highest rate in a while

- Facebook update: Jason Felty
- Rallycross facebook page: 23 new approved members, 14 declined
- Main club facebook page: 27 new approved members, 10 declined
- Both pages were around 1% growth
- Autocross Report: Melissa Mauro
- Melissa sent dates for RX and AX events to Farm Show. Farm Show has a busy schedule this summer, so it might be tough to find dates that work for all the requested dates.
- Discussion of alternative / potentially new autocross sites were discussed.
- Rallycross Report: John Roscinski
- Rallycross leadership team will hold an internal planning meeting in mid-February, in conjunction with cone cart cleanup work day
- Rallycross leadership team will also work on course maintenance, and explore 2 new potential venues
- Road Rally: Mike Chilcote
- We plan to do another scavenger hunt style Road Rally in Fall 2023 similar to last year. The next event will be based in Franklin County.
- Old business
- Banquet – pictures have been selected and trophies and jackets are ordered
- Board approved a motion for a budget of $150 for door prizes for banquet
- Unanimous vote by all in attendance
- Melissa will be looking for help with arranging the trophies etc to get them prepped for the banquet
- New business
- Board voted with unanimous approval to permit the Regional Executive to sign contacts and/or execute agreements on behalf of the Board. This is customary.
- Good and welfare
- We lost Tom Hamm, a longtime photographer and friend of the club. Celebration of life will occur in March in Pennsylvania
- The board unanimously passed a motion to donate $100 to the ALS Association in Tom Hamm’s name
