November 2023 Membership Meeting
SCCA – Susquehanna Region
- Meeting called to order on November 16, 2023 at 7:05pm

- RE Report:

- Treasurer’s Report: Alan Lesher
- Autocross, Rallycross, membership & sponsorship income, distribution, and YTD figures were reviewed.
- Membership report: Greg Szczyrbak
- 3 new members since last meeting
- Total membership is 466 total members
- Communication Report – Website and Squeal: Jake Limm
- Club is down about 10% or active users, not unexpected for this time of year.
- October sequel had nearly 50% open rate, and 4.25% click through rate, which is admirable
- Club volunteers will work to tighten up turnaround time on meeting minutes and publication of the squeal to get on a more regular timeline.
- Facebook update: Jason Felty
- Rallycross facebook page: 10 new approved members, 4 declined members
- for the main club facebook page: 31 approved, 8 declined
- both pages were around 1% growth
- Autocross Report: Melissa Mauro
- Successful last event – it was cold so there was some slippery conditions but overall no issues
- Match tour went well – first time in a while we had a match tour without rain.
- Jake Limm asked if we could more match tours. Answer was that the club cannot afford to do this more than once because of financial cost.
- Ideas about finding new potential autocross venues were discussed.
- Timing board maintenance was discussed. Marcus will try to fix how the numbers display, but if they cannot be fixed by the January meeting, then we will revisit it by the January board meeting.
- A question was raised if we could have food trucks at the competition area. As long as we are running at the Farm Show property, the answer is a hard no. It is written in our contract that any food trucks that do business at the property, 40% of profits must be given to the Farm Show.
- A question was raised what to do with times from participants that raced a GR Corolla, which was moved by national from D Street to B Street mid-season. Club Board will review final results and make a determination at that time.
- Rallycross Report: John Roscinski
- We did not host a Susquehanna Rallycross since the last meeting, but a few of the core members of our club visited another club in West Virginia and observed how they run their rallycross events.
- Core team will make a few changes to the Susquehanna program as a result of this trip, such as posting worker assignments or run group order on MSR and then email participants the day of the event for things such as live timing links.
- Timing Chiefs will get season points wrapped up soon. John will work with Melissa to finalize points using a special spreadsheet that calculates points including “drop” events

- Old business
- Nov 30 will be a board member meeting for trophy and award planning at Melissa’s house – Melissa will send follow up email to board members
- Annual banquet will be held at a new location – River Room at the Susquehanna Club (DLA base in New Cumberland), banquet will be on Feb 24, 2024
